The Good Old Days? - BBC Radio 3 - Producer

My first radio commission was this 45-minute documentary for BBC Radio 3’s Sunday Feature slot, first broadcast in November 2009.

Presented by Billy Bragg, the documentary strips away accretions of nostalgia to tell the story of Britain’s first popular music industry and bedrock of British working-class culture - Victorian music hall. The programme mixes interviews in surviving locations, archive and performance by Billy and others.

I have also broadcast on radio - on BBC Radio 4’s A Good Read, Radio 3’s In Tune and for arts programmes on the BBC World Service.
